The Beauty
Charcoal on paper
—
“The Beauty” is a charcoal study of two faces fused into one unstable form. The upper face appears to peel itself away from the one beneath, as though something long buried is forcing its way through the surface. The work examines the uneasy process of shedding performance, expectation, and constructed beauty—slowly exposing what lies beneath until only the raw, natural self remains.
