While drawing Mercy, With Thorns, I found myself momentarily lost about its direction. I tried a few different approaches, but it wasn’t until I began adding roses that I finally had my ah‑ha moment. As the roses took shape, I got the sense that the woman was about to offer a rose to someone. But why? and what was the catch?
