About Ash

Ash blends art and mediumship to create spirit-guided charcoal works that feel both intimate and uncanny. Ash uses charcoal’s deep darkness for scrying to coax whatever hides there into view. This technique was developed in 2021 while Ash was working in the metaphysical field where many clients arrived lost in the dark, seeking a guide in the search for who they truly were versus who they had been told to be.

Born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Ash has been married to her best friend Nelson for 30 years and lives near Pittsburgh. Ash is a member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and the Portrait Society of America, and she teaches at the Sweetwater Center for the Arts in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.

“Through my art there’s an invitation to disconnect from what is normal and safe. I invite you to brave the shadows of your mind and peer into the mirror of your heart to find the truth of who you are.”
